Actors

Who can apply? To be eligible for the Actor Track, applicants must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen and African American descent.
  • High School rising sophomores to graduating seniors with a 2.75 GPA.
  • College undergraduate or graduate Students enrolled in an accredited college /university with a 2.5 GPA.
  • Post Grad who graduated with a 2.5 GPA
  • Professional with 1-year in the industry

Minimum Qualifications: • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and African American descent • 2.5 GPA (Students) or 1-year work experience (Professional) • Students submit an official transcript. • Prepare a 3-5 minute comedic or dramatic monologue.

Requirements:

  • Interpret serious or comic role by speech, gesture, and body movement to entertain or inform audience for stage, motion picture, television, radio, or other media production.
  • Have the ability to rehearse and memorize lines.
  • Entertain, convey characters and express emotions in front of a live audience.
  • Take cues from director.
  • Use body language and movement to bring out character.
  • Interpret the work of a writer under the instruction and support of a director.
  • Improvise the reactions of a character to a situation.
  • Have the ability to research parts by reading material or shadowing a person similar to the character being portrayed.
  •  Commitment to the craft and patience.

Screenwriters

Who can apply? To be eligible for the Screenwriters Track, applicants must:

  • College undergraduate or graduate Students enrolled in an accredited college /university with a 2.5 GPA.

Minimum Qualifications: • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and African American descent • 2.5 GPA (Students) or 1-year work experience (Professional) • Students submit an official transcript. • Submit original work (stage play, screenplay, short or pilot) 35 pages for half hour, 65 pages for an hour 120 pages for a feature • Create a 2-5 page screenplay for the following scenes in screenplay format

    • Write a scene in which one character says “I love you” without using the phrase.
    • Write a scene in which two people with opposing views are forced to  work together

Requirements:

The job generally requires the ability to perform the following duties:

  • Develop and research ideas for original movie screenplays.
  • Create an initial framework, or treatment, for screenplays.
  • Write or adapt a story into a script.
  • Diverse background in writing skills
  • Meet with film executives to pitch screenplays and ideas.
  • Weave together visual elements in scenes with plot and dialogue.
  • Work with producers and directors to edit and adjust the script as needed.
  • Strong command of the English language and the ability to write a compelling story.
  • The ability to observe real life situation to put into characters, events of a storyline.
  • Creative to come up with new ideas and also envision what a film might be like before it’s made.

Minimum Qualifications: • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and African American descent • 2.5 GPA (Students) or 1-year work experience (Professional) • Students submit an official transcript. • Submit original work (up to 30 minute reel, short or film) •Complete the Directors/Producers Assessment

Requirements:

The job generally requires the ability to perform the following duties:

  • Select scripts or topics for a film, show, commercial, or play
  • Audition and select cast members and the film or stage crew
  • Approve the design and financial aspects of a production
  • Oversee the production process, including performances, lighting, and choreography
  • Oversee the postproduction process, including editing, special effects, music selection, and a performance’s overall tone
  • Ensure that a project stays on schedule and within budget
  • Raise Funds
  • Promote finished works or productions through interviews, advertisements, and film festivals

Fashion

Requirements:

Stylist/wardrobe generally requires the ability to perform the following duties:

  • Ability to create eye-catching designs
  • A good eye for fashion
  • Deep knowledge of the fashion industry

Hair generally requires the ability to perform the following duties:

  • Work experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Colorist or similar role
  • Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers
  • Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques
  • Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths (e.g. braids and top knots)
  • Experience with styling all types of hair, nature, wigs and weaves
  • Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, like keratin smoothing
  • Up-to-date with industry trends

  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours

Requirements:

The job generally requires the ability to perform the following duties:

  • Read shooting script and meet with the director to understand vision for the film.
  • Make visits to the locations during filming to gain a sense of how the shooting is progressing.
  • Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs, Insert music, dialogue and sound effects, using editing equipment
  • Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
  • Go through footage, once shooting is done, and select scenes based on their dramatic and entertainment value and contribution to story continuity.
  • Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with clients and the ability to bring them to life
  • Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
  • The ability to look for the best combination of photography, performance, consistency and timing.
  • Trim the segments of footage to the lengths needed for the film and assemble them into the best sequence to tell the story.
  • Review the edited film, make corrections and prepare it as a first cut, or rough cut, for the movie directors and producers to view.
  • Make revisions, as requested by the director and producers, and prepare the final cut for release to the film house for production.

Marketing |PR| Communications

You are allowed to use any product of your choice.
